Just when you thought DARK SHADOWS couldn't get any stranger, along comes a contest sponsored by Pizza Hut ... in Japan. They're actually giving away some pretty cool prizes (which you can see HERE) but I thought the image above was kind of cute.
In other Japanese Dark Shadows news, publisher Fusosha released a translation of the House of Dark Shadows movie novelization back in May. I could swear I read about it here, but I must have connected to a server in parallel time. I'm a bit amused by the localized cover illustration. The film, known as Lips of Blood over there, apparently was far from a hit, so the rebranding makes sense. The art is also available on cover artist Kaori Sakai's personal website, in the pen gallery.
