Dark Shadows "returns" for second season, 1967

Dark Shadows Back On KCND
The Winnipeg Free Press, Aug. 26, 1967

Dark Shadows, the romantic suspense series which made its debut on the KCND daytime schedule last year moves into its second season in  the Fall of 1967 with new terrors and mystery waiting in the wings.

The unique weekly contemporary drama — starring stage and screen luminary Joan Bennett as Elizabeth Stoddard Collins, mistress of Collins House — is styled in the tradition of the Gothic novel. It is a suspense  story centering around the tale of a young girl who has become the governess to a 10-year-old boy in a  house filed with strangeness and intrigue.

The setting is the tiny fishing village of Collinsport, Maine — and the great brooding mansion that looms above it on Widow's Hill. It is in this house that the series is played, as the young governess Victoria Winters (Alexandra Moltke) is surrounded by ominous terrors and drawn into the dark mysteries of the Collins family, founders of the fishing fleet that still sails from the village's sheltered- harbor.

Dark Shadows is produced by Robert Costello. The executive producer is Dan Curtis.
