"A woman director? What an age this is!"

Lela Swift was profiled in the Charleston News and Courier (now "Post and Courier") on March 12, 1969. This isn't the best scan on the world, but it's certainly legible, if you're inclined to wade into a story about the prevalence of sexism in America during the time of Dark Shadows original run. You can even sense a defeatist attitude on the part of the story's female writer, who can't muster much enthusiasm for the subject.

Note the TV listings shows Dark Shadows airing with The Untouchables, which briefly featured Dark Shadows alum Anthony George.
