In 2000, Dan Curtis spoke with Variety about the prospects of a Dark Shadows musical. While the concept never came to fruition (nor did any other long-term revisioning of Dark Shadows under Curtis's watch) it's not the worst idea in the world. I tend to loathe musicals, but throw in a few horror elements and suddenly I love musicals in a way that would even make Nathan Lane uncomfortable.
