A few months back, a copy of the shooting script for Tim Burton's DARK SHADOWS surfaced. Even though the Internet has turned into a cosmic bazaar, offering up pretty much anything for download that can be converted to a series of ones and zeroes, Seth Grahame-Smith's script has proven difficult to find. (John August's original screenplay, which reportedly bares no resemblance to anything that appears in the final film, still eludes me.)

In July, I provided a crude breakdown of the differences between Grahame-Smith's 2010 screenplay and the final film. Some of these changes were minor, other pretty significant. Such as the ending, which sees Victoria Winters dying at the foot of Widows' Hill mere seconds before the closing credits roll. Do you hear that sound? That's my blood pressure rising to dangerous levels.

This seems like a good time to introduce our guests for this podcast: Patrick McCray and Brooke Perrin. Even though the movie continues to get under my skin, I've said what I have to say about DARK SHADOWS and decided it would be more interesting to bring in different voices to talk about Grahame-Smith's original script.

You can listen to their conversation (streaming) above, or download it as an MP3 by clicking HERE.
